Loachapoka is quaint, rural town situated 7 miles west of Auburn in west central Lee County. Like a trip back in time, the little town has rustic storefronts and historic buildings and landmarks along the active railroad line. Loachapoka is home to two annual fall festivals that celebrate the history of the area and it's sense of community - Syrup Sopping Day and the Lee County Historical Fair take place on the same day each year and draw a big crowd. There are some beautiful properties in this area and less than a 10 minute drive from Auburn.
